Self Rescue for Climbers

AMI_white-rim.jpg

Your second climbs past a runner or gets his/her hand wedged in a crack. Would you know what to do? Alot of climbers assume that once they can climb, belay, place gear etc thats it. I do feel that having a few tricks in your toolbox allowing you to sort out some minor problems that may occur is very valuable. With a few basic skills even complex issues can be dealt with.

Some topics covered are:

  • Refresh of knots and belaying

  • Refresh of gear placement and belay building

  • Tying belay plate off

  • Escaping the system

  • Simple hoists

  • Simple scenario solving
