So you have walked the paths, graduated to the steeper slopes, but stray away from the rocky steps, ridges and scree slopes? Then this course is for you. It is for people who want to improve their skill in moving over steeper ground with confidence and allowing you to explore the wilder areas of the mountains. This is an exciting, dynamic course and is a lot of fun. It can be either a single or multi day course with the multi day option alowing topics to be covered more in depth. I don't envisage the use of ropes on this course, but helmets may be worn.

• The boot as a tool

• Route choice/reading the terrain

• Movement over steep terrain

• Spotting
